RUSTON - Louisiana Tech students and fans wanting to get their first look at this year's Bulldog and Lady Techster basketball teams will have the opportunity on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m.

For the second consecutive year, the athletic department is planning the "The Time is Now Basketball Bonanza" as the fun-filled night at the Thomas Assembly Center will start with the Celebrity Media Basketball game at 6 p.m. as local media members hoop it up on the hardwood.

Starting at 7 p.m. both the Bulldog and Lady Techster players and coaches will be introduced and each team will conduct intra-squad scrimmages giving Tech fans a glimpse of this year's talent.

In addition to the scrimmages, various competitions will be held including a dunk contest, three point shootout and a two-ball contest. Other interactive skill competitions involving fans will also be held as members of Tech student organizations will have an opportunity to showcase their skills.

The event will consist of performances and appearances by the Hoop Troop, Tech cheerleaders, Regal Blues, Champ and Tech XX. The night will end with an autograph session by both teams. Admission is free and Aramark will be providing free snacks and beverages.
