Ruston--With storms rolling through the area the Louisiana Tech football team got as much work in as they could before spring practice number five was cut short by lightning Tuesday afternoon.
At about the midway point of practice scattered showers, lightning and thunder forced the Bulldogs to head into the field house for safety precautions.
After holding meetings for both the offense and the defense the players and coaches returned to the field to continue practice. Nearly twenty minutes later the strikes of lightning began again and the Bulldogs were forced to end practice a bit early.
Louisiana Tech will continue spring practices this Thursday afternoon and will hold their first scrimmage of the spring on Saturday. All practices are closed to the general public.
