RUSTON -- Louisiana Tech announced Tuesday afternoon "the best deal in town" for parents and kids alike.

Beginning July 1, children in the eighth grade and under will be eligible for the LATech Kids Club membership that will be $30 that will grant admittance to all regular season home games in every sport for the entire year giving families a great outlet for participating at a great price.

"The LATech Kids Club is an organization that every parent will want to have their children join," Deputy Athletics Director Bruce Van De Velde said. "For only $30 members of the LATech Kids Club will be eligible to attend close to 100 Tech athletic events per year which is a tremendous bargain. The LATech Kids Club allows young families to enjoy major college athletics in a safe fun environment. There are not many places in the country where children can come to every athletic event at this kind of value and have access to the players, coaches and the facilities. Louisiana Tech is unique in what it can offer in terms of family entertainment."

For the incredibly low membership fee, LATech Kids Club members receive the following benefits:

* Admission to all LA Tech Athletics events (except Bowl and post-season games) * Official LATech Kids Club t-shirt * Membership neck lanyard * Invitations to exclusive LATech Kids Club events * Name on the LATech Kids Club website (Coming Soon) * All memberships are valid from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. * Invitations to special coaching clinics

For home football games, the "Kids Club" will be featured in Section A on the west side of Joe Aillet Stadium. Parents wishing to sit near their LATech Kids Club section can purchase tickets in Section A, as well.
