RUSTON -- Louisiana Tech junior Magnum Rolle has announced he will consider the 2009 NBA draft but not hire an agent so he can have the option to return to the Bulldogs for his senior season.

Rolle averaged 12.2 points and 7.2 rebounds this past season after seeing action in 30 games. Rolle was named to both the WAC's Newcomer and Defensive team honors.

"I fully support Magnum in his plan to go through the interview and workout process and gain invaluable feedback which will only benefit and impact him in a positive manner," Tech head coach Kerry Rupp said. "I am going to do everything possible to help prepare Magnum for this opportunity to see how the process works and pursue what has been a dream of his for a long time: to someday play in the NBA."

Since Rolle is not hiring an agent, he will have 10 days prior to the June 25 NBA Draft to remove his name from consideration to remain eligible to return as a Bulldog next season.
