RUSTON, La. -- Louisiana Tech sophomore Nataliya Panova was named LATechSports.com Student-Athlete of the Week on Monday following an impressive showing in the Lady Techster Invitational held Aug. 28-29 at the Thomas Assembly Center.

Panova, an outside hitter for the Techsters, recorded 32 kills, 34 digs and four blocks in the four-game tournament. For her efforts, she was awarded the tournament's MVP.

Her best showing came in the championship match against South Alabama. The transfer from Houston helped Tech win its invitational by totaling 13 kills, 10 digs and 2.5 blocks.
