INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• With one touchdown pass today, Ross Jenkins is now tied with Billy Laird and Zac Champion for ninth all-time with 27 career touchdown passes.
• With one sack today, Matt Broha is now tied with Ed Jackson and Doug "Tank" Landry for ninth all-time with 11.0 career sacks
• Broha has now recorded sacks in four of six games this season.
• Lennon Creer's two-yard touchdown run in the second quarter marks his first career touchdown.
• Creer rushed for a career-high 120 yards.
• The rushing outburst by Creer marks the first time that a Tech running back has gained more than a 100 yards on the ground since Daniel Porter gained 199 yards against San Jose State to close out the 2009 season.
• IK Enemkpali picked up his first two career-sacks.
• Javontay Crowe established a career-high seven tackles. His previous high came last weekend against Hawai'I when he recorded five stops.
• Adrien Cole tied his career-high with 12 tackles. The last time he has 12 stops was last season at Utah State.
• Tim Molton notched a career-high 93 rushing yards including a career-long 44-yard.
TEAM NOTES
• Louisiana Tech improves to 5-3 all-time against Utah State including a 3-1 mark at home.
• The six points scored by Utah State marks the second time this season that an opponent has failed to score a touchdown against the Tech defense.
• The last time the Tech defense did not surrender an offensive touchdown against a conference foe was Sept. 30, 2009 against Hawai'i.
• The 278 rushing yards is the highest total for accumulated for the Tech offense this season.
• The Tech defense allowed 195 total yards which is the lowest total allowed since LSU gained 246 yards on Nov. 14, 2009.
MISCELLANEOUS NOTES
• The 18-point win by Tech marks the largest margin of victory in the eight game series between the two schools. The most lopsided win prior to today was a 13-point victory by Tech in 2006.
• Today's win marks the first over an FBS school since Tech knocked off San Jose State 55-20 to close out the 2009 season.
• The blocked field goal by Utah State in the fourth quarter marked the first time that a Tech opponent had blocked a field goal attempt since Dec. 28, 2008 when Northern Illinois blocked an attempt in the Independence Bowl.
• Tech was one-for-one on fourth down conversions.
• The 93 penalty yards for Tech were a season-high and the most since Nov. 14, 2009 at LSU when Tech was penalized on 10 occasions for 100 yards.
