RUSTON--The Lady Techster Tennis team fell to Arkansas State 6-1 over the weekend at the Lady Techster Tennis Complex.

The Techsters were short-handed for the fourth straight match due to injuries. For every slot Tech was unable to fill, Arkansas State received a free point.

Louisiana Tech dropped the doubles point after falling in two close doubles matches.

In singles play the Techster's lone win came from freshman Alena Erofeyeva as she took her match 7-5, 6-4.

"We ran into a tough opponent with Arkansas State," Tech head coach Quintin Yray. "I think we still had some good matches though. Hopefully we will have everyone available for next weekend."

Louisiana Tech returns to the courts on March 20 and 21 when they travel to take on Southeastern Louisiana and Nicholls State.
