RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech product Paul Millsap was named to the Western Athletic Conference all-Decade team released by the conference office on Friday.
More than 1,000 fans participated in an online vote on players that had been on at least two all-WAC teams between 2000 and 2010.
During his three seasons at Tech, the Grambling, La. native dominated the conference on the defensive end of the floor by becoming the only three-time NCAA rebounding leader and holding the conference's single-season record for rebounds in a season with 438 in 2005-06. Millsap was a two-time first team all-WAC honoree as well as the 2003-04 WAC Freshman of the Year.
Nevada's Nick Fazekas was the leading vote getter with 60 percent of the votes. Joining Fazekas and Millsap on the team are Fresno State's Melvin Ely, Nevada's Luke Babbitt and Utah State's Jaycee Carroll.
