RUSTON - Louisiana Tech will be increasing its presence in the social media world this year as Bulldog and Lady Techster fans can keep up with all the latest on their favorite teams.
The Louisiana Tech media relations and marketing departments are joining forces to provide the most up-to-date and in-depth information through social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, LA Tech All-Access and CoverItLive.
LA Tech All-Access is a subscription based platform that Tech fans can access live video and audio streams of almost every Tech home sporting event and live audio streams of road football, men's basketball, women's basketball and selected baseball and softball games.
In addition to these live events as well as live press conferences, Tech fans who purchase a subscription to LA Tech All-Access will also get behind-the-scenes access to post-practice interviews with coaches and players and as well as post-game press conference footage and sound.
The crew of LA Tech All-Access also plans to do periodic features on student-athletes and coaches to give fans a more personal view of the people behind the people.
For only $9.95 per month or $79.95 for the year, Bulldog and Lady Techster fans can be a part of all of the action of LA Tech All-Access.
LATechsports.com is excited to introduce the new LA Tech All-Access multimedia player this year.
New features include expanded video navigation controls, such as video jogging for fast forwarding and rewinding, and advanced search functions to help you get the content you crave. The new on-page video player interface is at a 16:9 aspect ratio offering a full-screen mode and is compatible with Adobe Flash-enabled web browsers.
Menus are now in a tab format and contain preview thumbnails of video items for easy navigation of content. Viewers can sort videos by most recent, by sport, by featured channels or by live events only. Each tab offers additional filtering options to help viewers find their content quickly.
More advanced search features allow users to search by keyword or within a date range. Users can further narrow their advanced searches by sport, channel and category.
LA Tech All-Access now makes it easier for fans to share their favorite videos with their friends and family. Unique public video links allow for easy link sharing while "Share" options within the video player allow users to send links directly to social networking sites. Fans can also send video links directly to friends with the "Email to a Friend" function.
Louisiana Tech athletics also has its own Facebook page that updates daily with all of the latest information on the Bulldogs and Lady Techsters. Become a friend of LA Tech athletics at http://www.facebook.com/LATechAthletics.
