RUSTON, La. - The Louisiana Tech volleyball team fell to Western Athletic Conference foe Idaho 3-0 (17-25, 19-25, 13-25) Saturday afternoon at the Thomas Assembly Center.
The loss drops the Lady Techsters to 8-10 overall and 0-3 in the WAC, while Idaho improved to 7-9 and 2-2 in conference.
Recording a game, season and career-high 18 digs was freshman Ana Rodriguez (Bel Horizonte, Brazil). Senior Bianca Bin (Sau Paulo, Brazil) led the team with 26 assists and junior Marcella Braz (Belo Horizonte, Brail) paced the squad with 10 kills.
For Idaho, Allison Walker recorded a double-double with 11 digs and 10 kills. Jennifer Feicht had a game-high 36 assists and Ashley Christman led the Vandals with 11 kills and a .409 attack percentage. Four Idaho players recorded double-digit digs with Janelle Chow and Cassie Hamilton pacing them with 14 apiece.
The Lady Techsters return to action on Tuesday at Grambling State which will be the second meeting between the schools this season with Tech taking the first contest in straight sets at the Louisiana Tech Invitational. The next home contest will be against San Jose State on October 13.
