After taking the lead in the long jump during the prelims and advancing to the finals, Chelsea Hayes monitored the finals while warming up for the 100m dash prelims. Hayes never needed to return for the finals and passed on all three attempts, winning the event by 11 inches. Teammate Tiana Davis finished second to Hayes in the event.

Lady Techster hurdlers in the 100m hurdles ran three of the four fastest times as Tiana Davis, Jesseka Jones and Kim Francis all qualified for Friday's finals.

The biggest personal advancement on the day was senior Justin Terry who ran a career-best 47.16 in the 400m. His previous career-best time was 49.92.
