RUSTON - Coach Jeff Parks and the Louisiana Tech Bulldog golf team will hold its annual College-AM in conjunction with Hall of Fame Weekend scheduled for Oct. 1 and 2.
The event will consists of a total of 20 four-person teams playing a scramble format on Sunday, Oct. 2 at Squire Creek Golf Course. Each four-person team will be joined by an outstanding college golfer representing the 12 teams competing in the LA Tech Squire Creek Invitational.
That Saturday the Bulldog football team will host WAC preseason favorite Hawaii on Saturday, Oct. 1 at Joe Aillet Stadium. Prior to the 6 p.m. kickoff, the 2011 LA Tech Hall of Fame Induction Class will be enshrined in a ceremony open to the public in the Waggonner Room of the Thomas Assembly Center.
"This is a great weekend for Tech fans and alums," Parks said. "We hope everyone will come out Saturday to honor the Hall of Fame class and support the football team in this important conference game.
"I am hoping that some of our fans and alums will stick around and participate in our College-AM on Sunday. This is always a great event at a first class golf course, and the money we raise goes to support our golfers during the year. It should be a great weekend."
Entry fee for the tournament is $200 per player and all proceeds from the tournament will go to support the Louisiana Tech golf program. Each participant in the tournament will receive a Louisiana Tech logoed polo golf shirt, dinner at Squire Creek following the event and a chance to play for flight prizes.
