Final Stats
RUSTON, La. - In the first of their three-game road swing thru the southern portion of the state, the Louisiana Tech tennis team fell 5-2 to Louisiana-Lafayette Friday afternoon at Cajun Courts.
The defeat drops the Lady Techsters record to 3-2 on the year while the Ragin' Cajuns improve to 2-5.
Junior Alena Erofeyeva is now 5-0 in the dual season with a three set win (7-6 (5-0), 6-7 (0-5), 9-0) at the No. 5 position over Tara Vasovic.
In the No. 6 match, senior Anna Zurek won (7-6 (6-0), 6-2) over Haley Acuna to improve to 2-1 in the spring.
ULL won the other four singles matches and swept the doubles point. The No. 3 doubles match was the closest as the team of freshman Laura Fernandez and Erofeyeva fell 8-5 to Hannah Appleyard and Vasovic.
Louisiana Tech looks to get back in the win column at Southern Saturday morning at 11 a.m.
