RUSTON, La. -

• Tonight's captains: D.J. Banks, IK Enemkpali, Matthew Shepperd, Kendall Hayes

• Announced attendance: 16,037. Total season attendance for LA Tech: 93, 332 (season average - 5 games: 18,666)

• Despite the loss, LA Tech continues to lead the all-time series 7-3 over Tulsa with a 4-1 record when playing in Ruston.

OFFENSE

• Freshman QB Ryan Higgins received his sixth start of the season vs. Tulsa and was 22-43 for 195 yards, 1 TD and a career-high four interceptions.

• Blake Martin recorded his second rushing touchdown of the season and of his career with a 10-yard TD run to tie the game in the first half. With 3:06 left in the 2nd quarter, LA Tech 7, Tulsa 7.

• LA Tech's 81-yard scoring drive ties for 5th longest drive this season. Last 81-yard drive: Blake Martin's 62-yard TD run at UTEP.

• Tevin King surpassed the 100 yard rushing mark with 111 yards vs. Tulsa. That is the second 100-yard rushing game of the season for King and the fourth of his Bulldog career.

• Jon Greenwalt recorded his first touchdown reception of the season and first career touchdown catch with a 4-yard reception from Ryan Higgins with 0:44 left in the 3rd quarter to cut Tulsa's lead to 17-14.

DEFENSE

• The Louisiana Tech defense recorded three interceptions vs. Tulsa, the second most this season by the Bulldogs. LA Tech had four interceptions vs. Southern Miss earlier this season.

• Bryson Abraham recorded his third interception of the season and his career after he picked off Tulsa QB Dane Evans at the LA Tech 13 yard line for no return with 11:18 remaining in the 1st quarter.

• Adairius Barnes recorded his first career forced fumble with 5:02 remaining in the first quarter. Kentrell Brice recovered the fumble and returned it nine yards for his first career fumble recovery.

• Beau Fitte intercepted a pass from Dane Evans and returned it five yards with 5:47 left in the 2nd quarter. That is the second interception of the season for Beau Fitte and the second of his career.

• Tony Johnson recorded the first interception of his career after taking away a pass from Evans in the third quarter vs. Tulsa.

• Tony Johnson led the Bulldogs defensively with 13 total tackles, including six solo tackles and an interception.

SPECIAL TEAMS

• Logan McPherson punted the ball six times (five punts in the first quarter) for a total of 205 yards and an average 34.2 yards per punt. He had one punt inside the 20 after entering tonight's game ranked 18th in the nation in percentage of punts that land inside the 20 yard line. Out of 50 total punts, 20 have been placed inside the 20 yard line.

• Trent Taylor's 24-yard punt return to the 50 yard line at the beginning of the 3rd quarter is the longest of the season for him and the longest of his collegiate career.

TULSA

• The Golden Hurricane recorded its first win in Ruston tonight with a 24-14 victory over LA Tech. Coming into tonight's game, LA Tech led the series 4-0 when playing in Ruston.

• Trey Watts carried 40 times for 189 yards and three touchdowns to lead Tulsa to a 24-14 win at over Louisiana Tech in Ruston.
