Louisiana Tech vs. Utah State Feb. 28, 2013 Game Notes
• With the 84-61 win, Louisiana Tech sweeps the season series over Utah State for the first time ever. The Aggies still hold the all-time lead over the Bulldogs 14-5.
• No. 25 LA Tech improves to 25-3 on the season while extending its winning streak to 17 games, the second longest active streak in the country.
• The 25 wins are the third most victories in a single season for the program.
• Utah State falls to 19-8 on the season.
• The Bulldogs stay undefeated in conference play with a 15-0 record and remain in first place in the WAC. The 15 conference wins is the most in program history in a single season.
• Utah State drops to 9-6 in the WAC and is in fifth place.
• The Bulldogs are riding a 17-game home winning streak after the win, tied for the fifth longest active streak in the country. They have not lost at home since Jan. 28, 2012.
• LA Tech remains one of only five teams in the country still undefeated in conference play (Gonzaga, Memphis, Akron, Norfolk State).
• With the win, coach White improves his overall record to 43-19, giving him the most wins in his first two seasons as a head coach at LA Tech in program history.
• The announced attendance of 5,506 Bulldog fans was a season-high.
• The 84 points by LA Tech was the most given up by Utah State all season.
• The Bulldogs shot 31-of-62 from the field for 50 percent. It was the fourth time this season they have shot at least 50 percent or better in a game.
• The Bulldog bench outscored the starters 49 to 35. It's the eighth time this season they have done so.
• The Bulldogs forced 15 turnovers, scoring 25 points off of those turnovers. It was the 20th time this season LA Tech has forced at least 15 turnovers.
• LA Tech starters were Michale Kyser, Raheem Appleby, Kenneth Smith, Chris Anderson and Cordarius Johnson. This lineup is now 8-0 on the season.
• Michale Kyser had four blocks on the night giving him 79 on the season, the second most in a single season behind only Willie Simmons (92 in 1984-85). It's the 17th game this season Kyser has had at least three blocks in a game.
• Brandon Gibson led all scorers with 20 points, including 4-of-5 from three-point range. He also scored 20 versus Utah State in their previous meeting on Jan. 26.
• Raheem Appleby had 15 points off 6-of-11 shooting. It was the 16th time this season he has scored at least 15 points in a game.
• Kenyon McNeail knocked down three three-pointers, giving him 132 for his career which moves him into fifth place all-time.
• Utah State did not make their first basket until the 16:06 mark.
