• In the first ever meeting between the two schools, LA Tech fell 40-14 to NC State at Carter-Finley Stadium in front of a crowd 54,204.

• With the loss, LA Tech falls to 3-10-1 all-time versus ACC opponents.

• Coach Holtz is now 1-3 as a head coach versus NC State. Holtz was 1-2 against the Wolfpack as head coach of East Carolina.

• LA Tech won the coin toss and elected to defer to the second half. The captains were D.J. Banks, Matt Shepperd and IK Enemkpali.

• IK Enemkpaliintercepted NC State's Pete Thomas in the second quarter. It was his first career interception.

• Tevin Kingscored on a one-yard run with 27 seconds remaining in the second quarter. It was Tevin's first touchdown since Sept. 22, 2012 at Illinois. It was his sixth career touchdown.

• Kenneth Dixonrushed for 118 yards. It was the seventh time in his career to rush for over 100 yards.

• Kenneth Dixonhad a 12-yard rushing touchdown with 14:06 left in the fourth quarter. It was his 28th career rushing touchdown.

• Lyle Fittecaught two passes on the day, his first receptions since Oct. 8, 2011 at Idaho.

• Wide receiver Sterling Griffinhad a team-high 52 yards receiving.

• Linebacker Daniel Cobbregistered the lone sack of the day for LA Tech, his first career sack as a Bulldog. Cobb also had a game-high 3.5 tackles for loss.

• Safety Thomas McDonaldhad a game-high 16 tackles.

• Kyle Fischerwas 2-2 on extra point attempts, his first two made extra points as a Bulldog.

• Freshman Logan McPhersonsaw his first action as a Bulldog, punting eight times for an average of 36.2 yards per punt.

• LA Tech totaled four fumbles on the day, including two lost inside the redzone. The Bulldogs only had eight fumbles lost all of last season. The Bulldogs last had four turnovers in a single game three separate times in 2010 - Sept. 11 at Texas A&M, Sept. 25 vs. Southern Miss and Oct. 16 vs. Idaho.

• Fourteen points is the fewest scored by the Bulldogs since they scored 12 points on Sept. 25, 2010 versus Southern Miss.

• A total of 17 players saw their first action as a Bulldog -- Sterling Griffin, Conner Smith, Scotty Young, Tre Carter, Jens Danielsen, Mitchell Bell, Trent Taylor, Lloyd Grogan, Kyle Fischer, Logan McPherson, Tony Johnson, Daniel Cobb, Xavier Woods, Thomas McDonald, Mitch Villemez, Josh Ross and Colby Brown.
