RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech (16-4, 4-1 C-USA) defeated Charlotte (12-6, 3-2 C-USA), 80-60, Thursday night in Conference USA play at the Thomas Assembly Center.

• Louisiana Tech is now 1-0 all-time versus Charlotte as it was the first meeting between the two teams on the basketball court.

• Louisiana Tech is now 8-1 in home games this season.

• This is the fourth time LA Tech has bounced back in winning fashion after a loss this season. Louisiana Tech has now won seven straight home games heading into Saturday's home game vs. Marshall.

• With a season-high 13 assists vs. the 49ers, Kenneth Smith has now recorded at least 10 assists in a game four times this season. Smith is currently fifth all-time in career assists in LA Tech history with a total of 448 assists. Smith also tied for third all-time in Bulldog history for assists in a game with 13 against Charlotte.

• Starters for LA Tech: Alex Hamilton, Michale Kyser, Kenneth Smith, Chris Anderson, Cordarius Johnson. The Bulldogs are now 5-1 when starting these five players this season.

• Michale Kyser is currently ranked third all-time in career blocks with 223. He is also four blocks away from cracking the top five for blocks in a season with 71 blocks thus far.

• With one steal tonight, Kenneth Smith is one steal away from moving up on the all-time career steals list in Bulldog history. Smith currently has 143 career steals, which ranks seventh in program history, one shy of Kelvin Lewis (1984-88) in sixth place.

• After a win tonight, the Bulldogs are 16-0 on the season when leading or tied at halftime. Tonight versus the 49ers, LA Tech led 40-33 at the half.

• After forcing 24 Charlotte turnovers, LA Tech is now 15-0 on the year when forcing 15 or more turnovers in a game. The Bulldogs matched a season-high with 24 turnovers, as this is the third time this season LA Tech has forced at least 20 turnovers in a game.

• Tonight is the 21st game since Michael White has been the head coach that the Bulldogs have forced at least 20 turnovers in a game.

• Tonight marks the fifth time in his career that Alex Hamilton has scored at least 20 points in a game. This is the fourth time this season the sophomore has hit 20 points.

• The Bulldogs are now 3-0 in Thursday night games this season.
