Oct. 14, 2014 Louisiana Tech Match Notes
RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech (7-13) will step out of league play briefly this week in the team's first midweek match since early September, as the Lady Techsters play hosts to Grambling State (2-15) in the annual "Dig Pink" match at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in the Thomas Assembly Center.
LA Tech faced off against UAPB earlier in the season in midweek non-conference action and the Lady Techsters returned home from the road contest with a 3-0 straight-set victory.
The Lady Techsters enter Wednesday's match looking to build on a 7-6 non-conference record in 2014, while the match versus Grambling will be LA Tech's final game out of Conference USA play this season.
Overall, LA Tech holds a commanding 27-1 record over Grambling State in the all-time series. Additionally, the Lady Techsters have won 27 straight over the Lady Tigers with the only loss coming in the inaugural season for the program in 1987.

STAT LEADERS
Rebecca Redgen has recorded two double-doubles in her last two matches and 10-plus kills in the last three as the senior outside hitter continues to pace the Lady Techsters offensively with a team-high 234 kills (3.39 per set) this season.
Adria Morales has set up the majority of Redgen's kills as she currently leads all teammates with 303 assists and an average of 6.18, while Brooke Short is next on the squad with 212 assists (4.16 per set).
Short is also tied for the team lead with Alejandra Aviles as both players have totaled 14 service aces on the season, while Morales is close behind with 11 aces in 2014.
At the net, freshman Emilee Dechant leads all Lady Techsters with 52 total blocks, while averaging 1.04 per set. The Kansas native has recorded a team-high eight solo blocks and assisted on 44 in her first collegiate season.
