BATON ROUGE, La. - Victor Lange and
Ben Robinson each shot 1-over-par 73 over the final round as Louisiana Tech wrapped up action at the David Toms Intercollegiate in Baton Rouge Sunday with the Bulldogs placing 10th as a team.
Lange finished the tournament at 10-over-par 226 and placed tied for 13th while Robinson was tied for 28th at 14-over-par (230).
The Bulldogs struggled in the opening round Saturday as the team shot 35-over-par 323 to get off to an inauspicious start. Despite rebounding with a 12-over-par 300 in the afternoon round on Saturday and moving up to eighth, Tech faltered Sunday and dropped into 10th place after a team score of 18-over-par 306, edging Southern Miss by one stroke and defensing Conference USA champion Rice by 10 strokes.
Lange moved up eight spots in the individual standings on the final day, going from 21st to 13th with his 1-over-par round.
Robinson also improved over the final round, moving up eight spots to 28th as he matched Lange's 1-over-par 73 Sunday.
Louisiana Tech returns home to complete its fall schedule by hosting the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate on Oct. 20-21 at Squire Creek Country Club.
