Dec. 15, 2014 LOS ANGELES - Louisiana Tech senior offensive lineman Mitchell Bell has accepted an invitation to play in the 2015 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.
Bell, a 6-3, 354-pound Houston native, anchored the stout Louisiana Tech offensive line, earning All-Conference USA First Team honors this season. Bell grabbed a starting position in 2013 after transferring from Navarro JC and never let it go. The Bulldogs had one of the most improved scoring offenses in the country, ranking No. 19 in the country and second in C-USA in fewest sacks allowed.
He joins UAB's Jimmy Jean and Florida Atlantic's Lucky Whitehead in announcing commitments to play in the all-star game Monday.
The players will be three of the talented draft-eligible seniors competing in the all-star game on Saturday, January 17 at StubHub Center on the campus of California State University Dominguez Hills in Carson, California.
Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET, and the game will be televised live on ESPN2. ESPNU will also air live broadcasts from practices on Wednesday, January 14 and Thursday, January 15.
