Post-game Notes
• With the 67-58 win, Louisiana Tech defeated UAB for the first time in program history. The Blazers now leads the all-time series over the Bulldogs, 4-1. All five meetings have come in Birmingham, Ala. at the Bartow Arena.
• LA Tech improves to 24-6 on the season and 12-3 in C-USA play, still part of a four-way tie for first place with Southern Miss, Tulsa and Middle Tennessee.
• UAB falls to 18-11 on the season and 7-8 in C-USA play. The Blazers had their three-game winning streak snapped.
• LA Tech starters were Alex Hamilton, Michale Kyser, Kenneth Smith, Chris Anderson and Jaron Johnson. This was the ninth straight game with this starting lineup.
• At halftime, the Bulldogs led 44-36. They are now 21-0 this season when having the lead at the break.
• LA Tech is now 20-0 this season when forcing at least 15 turnovers. The Bulldogs forced UAB into 16 for the game.
• The Bulldogs hit nine first half three-pointers and finished the game with 10. It marked the sixth time this season the `Dogs made at least 10 in a single game.
• Kenneth Smith came up with two steals to move into third place all-time in career steals (174), passing Alan Davis (1981-85).
• Michale Kyser rejected three blocks to set the single season record (94), a record he tied last year with Willie Simmons with 92.
• Chris Anderson, who came into the game shooting 27 percent from three, went 4-of-5 from beyond the arc. The four made three's a new career-high for the senior.
• Chris Anderson finished with a game-high 20 points. It marked the fifth time this season he has led the Bulldogs in scoring and the third time he has scored 20+ points.
• Kenneth Smith dished out a game-high eight assists. He has now registered at least eight assists in 12 of the last 13 games.
