POST-GAME NOTES
- LA Tech captains were Kentrell Brice, Vernon Butler, Jeff Driskel and Kenneth Dixon.

- With the 34-31 victory, LA Tech now leads the all-time series over UTSA, 3-1.
- The visiting team won for the first time in the series. The home team had won all three meetings prior to today.
- Skip Holtz recorded career win No. 105 as head coach.
- With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 5-5 all-time when playing games indoors.
- The Bulldogs are now 17-4 under head coach Skip Holtz when leading after three quarters. They led, 31-24, at the time.
- The Bulldogs won by a margin of three points, breaking a string of four losses with games decided by one-possession.
- UTSA won the coin toss and deferred to the second half. It was only the second coin toss lost by LA Tech this season.
OFFENSE
- LA Tech totaled 444 yards of offense, eclipsing 400 for the sixth time this season which remains a program record to open a season.
- The Bulldog offense is now averaging 493.7 yards per game.
- Jeff Driskel overcame two interceptions in the first half to go 28-of-44 for 351 yards and one touchdown. It marked his third game this season with 300+ yards passing and was just seven yards short of a new career high. It was also the most passing yards in the series with UTSA, passing Colby Cameron's 348 yards on Nov. 3, 2012 in Ruston.
- Jeff Driskel brought his season total passing yards to 1,812, setting a new single season record. His previous high was 1,646 yards in 2012 at Florida.
- Jeff Driskel led scoring drives of 75, 70, 76 and 62 yards. The game-winning scoring drive was 11 plays for 62 yards and ate 4:18 off the clock.
- Jarred Craft got the start in place of an injured Kenneth Dixon and finished with a career-high 19 carries for 72 yards. The sophomore also registered the fifth touchdown of his career and the first receiving touchdown of his career.
- Ricky Jones recorded his first career touchdown on just his second career rush as a Bulldog.
- Trent Taylor pulled in a new career-high 13 receptions for 143 yards. He came into the game ranked 15th in the country in receptions per game (7.2).
- Carlos Henderson had four catches for 88 yards, a season high. The redshirt sophomore pulled in a 47-yard grab in the fourth quarter, the longest play from scrimmage in the game for the Bulldogs.
- Kam McKnight pulled in four catches for 56 yards, a new career high for the redshirt freshman.
- Sanford Seay also had a career day, registering three catches for 44 yards.
- Jarred Craft scored on a one-yard rush from the T-Bone formation to give LA Tech a 17-10 lead with 5:47 left in the second quarter. It was the sophomore's first touchdown of the season.
- Jeff Driskel capped a 70-yard drive with a two-yard touchdown pass to Jarred Craft to give LA Tech a 24-10 lead with eight seconds to go in the first half. The drive took only 56 seconds and the Bulldogs had zero timeouts. It was only Craft's third career reception.
- Ricky Jones rushed it in for three yards and a touchdown to give LA Tech a 31-17 lead with 7:39 left in the third quarter. It was his first carry of the season.
DEFENSE
- The LA Tech defense allowed just 300 total yards by UTSA. It was the second fewest yards allowed this season.
- LA Tech defense only allowed 12 yards of offense in the first quarter and 51 total yards in the first half alone by UTSA.
- With two interceptions, LA Tech has now recorded multiple interceptions in three games this season (Southern, Louisiana-Lafayette and UTSA).
- LA Tech has now recorded a pick-six in each game played in the Alamodome. Adairius Barnes returned an interception for a touchdown in 2013 and Bryson Abraham returned one in tonight's game.
- Lloyd Grogan went high up the air for an interception late in the first quarter. It was the redshirt junior's first career INT.
- The Bulldogs came in with six sacks on the season. They had five against the Roadrunners, all coming in the first half.
- LA Tech ended up with 12 tackles-for-loss. The previous most this season was seven against FIU on Sept. 26 in Ruston. The Bulldogs had four tackles-for-loss in the first seven minutes of the game.
- The defense only allowed 73 rushing yards with an average of 1.9 per carry. It is the third time this season they have not allowed more than 100.
- Defensive end Jaylen Ferguson made his first career start at defensive end and had a breakout performance. The redshirt freshman had seven tackles, including two sacks and four tackles-for-loss, all career highs.
- Senior linebackers Nick Thomason and Beau Fitte each had a team-high eight tackles in the game.
- Bryson Abraham registered six tackles and had his second straight game with a pick-six, intercepting the ball and running it 25 yards for a touchdown to give LA Tech a 7-0 lead with 12:40 left in the first quarter. He now has seven interceptions for his career.
- Russell Farris recorded a sack early in the second quarter, the first career sack for the sophomore.
- Vernon Butler and Russell Farris registered solo sacks in the second quarter. It was Farris' first career sack. Nick Thomason and Tyler Porter also combined for a sack late in the second quarter.
SPECIAL TEAMS
- Jonathan Barnes went 2-for-2 on field goals, hitting a 19-yard field goal with 26 seconds remaining in the first quarter and the game-winner from 32 yards out with 10 seconds left in the game to give LA Tech a 34-31 lead. The sophomore is now 13-of-15 on the season.
- Jonathan Barnes also went a perfect 4-for-4 on extra point attempts. He remains 100 percent, converting all 28 attempts this season.
- Gerald Shouse had six punts go for 212 yards. He had four pinned inside the 20 and a long punt of 49 yards.
