POST-GAME NOTES

- LA Tech captains were Kentrell Brice, Vernon Butler, Jeff Driskel and Kenneth Dixon.

- Tonight's attendance: 26,910. It marked the fourth largest crowd in Joe Aillet Stadium history.

- With the 43-14 win, LA Tech improved to 3-2 overall this season.

- With the victory, LA Tech now leads the all-time series over ULL, 48-33-6.

- The Bulldogs have now won eight straight over the Ragin' Cajuns, a streak that dates back to 1997.

- In the eight straight victories over ULL, LA Tech has won by an average of 30 points. The Bulldogs margin of victory tonight was 29.

- LA Tech has now won seven straight games at Joe Aillet Stadium, the longest streak since Sept. 1,201-Nov. 23, 2002 when they also won seven straight. Six of the seven wins have been by double digits.

- LA Tech has now won 12 consecutive games against teams who were active Sun Belt Conference members at the time of meeting. The last loss came in 1996.

- Skip Holtz recorded career win No. 104 as a head coach.

- LA Tech won the coin toss and elected to defer to the second half.

OFFENSE

- The LA Tech offense totaled 428 yards on the night. They have recorded at least 400 yards of offense in all five games this season, a first in program history.

- The Bulldogs are averaging 503.6 yards per game, the third most in school history through five games.

- The LA Tech offense was a perfect 3-for-3 in the red zone. They are now 17-of-21 on the season.

- The 72-yard reception from Jeff Driskel to Marcus Gaines was the longest play from scrimmage this season. It was the longest reception of Gaines' career and the third longest pass of Driskel's career.

- The Bulldogs scored a touchdown on their opening drive of the game for the third time this season.

- Jeff Driskel finished the game 20-of-33 for 290 yards and three touchdowns (two passing and one rushing).

- Through five games, Jeff Driskel has passed for 1,461 yards. He needs only 186 more passing yards to set a new single season record.

- Through five games, Jeff Driskel has scored 15 total touchdowns (10 passing and five rushing). His single season career high is 16 which in 2012 at Florida.

- Jeff Driskel scored a touchdown passing and rushing for the fourth time this season (out of five games). In his three years at Florida, he did it a total of six times.

- Jeff Driskel now has five rushing touchdowns this season and 14 for his career.

- Kenneth Dixon has now scored a touchdown in 33 games as a Bulldog. The NCAA record is 38 set by Tim Tebow (Florida).

- Kenneth Dixon rushed for a team-high 59 yards, bringing his career total to 3,993 yards.

- Kenneth Dixon moved into a tie for eighth on the NCAA career rushing touchdown list with 59, tying him with Eric Crouch (Nebraska) and Colin Kaepernick (Nevada).

- Kenneth Dixon moved into a tie for fifth on the NCAA career overall touchdown list with 69, tying him with Taurean Henderson (Texas Tech).

- Marcus Gaines recorded career highs with eight receptions for 165 yards and a touchdown. It was his second touchdown of the season and the third of his career.

- The 165 yards receiving is the most by any wide receiver this season and the most since Quinton Patton had 181 yards against Utah State on Nov. 17, 2012.

- Trent Taylor had five catches for 78 yards and a touchdown. The junior has now recorded a team-high four touchdown receptions this season and leads the team in career touchdowns with 15. One more TD will move him into the top 10 in program history.

- Jeff Driskel connected with Trent Taylor who made a diving grab in the end zone for a touchdown with 8:39 to go in the first quarter, tying LA Tech up with ULL, 7-7. It was an eight-yard grab.

- Jeff Driskel faked a handoff to Kenneth Dixon on a zone read and rushed it up the middle for a 19-yard touchdown, giving LA Tech a 14-7 lead.

- Jeff Driskel hit Marcus Gaines on a screen pass and the sophomore went untouched for 72 yards and the score with 13:26 left in the third quarter, giving LA Tech a 36-7 lead.

- Kenneth Dixon took an option run for a six-yard touchdown run with 7:09 left in the fourth quarter, giving LA Tech a 43-14 lead.

DEFENSE

- The LA Tech defense limited ULL to 331 total yards of offense. The defense has limited their opponents to less than 350 total yards in all three home games this season.

- The LA Tech defense forced three turnovers, the most this season in a single game.

- The interception returned for a touchdown by Bryson Abraham was the first time since the Zaxby's Heart of Dallas Bowl last season that a Bulldog recorded a pick-six (Xavier Woods).

- LA Tech has now recorded an interception in 12 of the last 13 home games. It was their first interception since the opening game against Southern.

- After the Ragin' Cajuns went five plays for 80 yards and a touchdown on their opening drive, the LA Tech defense held them to just 61 total yards the rest of the first half.

- Four different Bulldogs had five tackles on the night (Beau Fitte, Vernon Butler, Kentrell Brice and C.J. Cleveland).

- Vernon Butler registered a sack in the first quarter. It was his first sack of the season and the third of his career. The senior defensive tackle also had three quarterback hurries.

- Beau Fitte forced and recovered a fumble early in the fourth quarter. It was his first career forced fumble and third career fumble recovery.

- Bryson Abraham intercepted a pass with no time on the clock at the end of the first half and took it 50 yards to the house, giving LA Tech a 29-7 lead at the half. It marked his sixth career interception and his first for a touchdown.

- True freshman Aaron Roberson intercepted his first career pass with 3:04 left in the game.

SPECIAL TEAMS

- Paul Turner blocked a punt early in the second quarter which resulted in a safety as the ball went out of the back of the end zone. It was the first blocked punt since Dec. 6, 2014 at Marshall in the C-USA Championship game. It was the first scored safety since Oct. 9, 2013 vs. Southern Miss. LA Tech took a 16-7 lead with 11:09 to play in the second quarter.

- Marcus Gaines had his first kickoff return of the season, coming in the second quarter after ULL kicked off from the 20 after the safety. It was a return of 23 yards.

- Ricky Jones recorded his second career kickoff return. The return went for 18 yards late in the third quarter.

- Jonathan Barnes hit both field goals. He is now 11-of-13 on field goal attempts this season.

- Jonathan Barnes went 5-of-5 on extra point attempts, making him a perfect 24-of-24 on the season.

- Jonathan Barnes nailed a 50-yard field goal with 7:00 left in the second quarter, giving LA Tech a 19-7 advantage. It was the longest field goal of his career. His previous long was 45 yards which he had done twice.

- Jonathan Barnes hit on a 41-yard field goal with 17 seconds remaining in the second quarter, giving LA Tech a 22-7 lead.

- Gerald Shouse booted a 53-yard punt late in the third quarter. It was his fifth punt this season of 50+.
