RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech's Jacie McClure has been selected to the 2015 Conference USA All-Academic Team for her efforts in the classroom and on the volleyball court, it was announced by the league office Thursday.

A total of 12 players make up the all-academic team, which was voted on by the league's sports information directors, while McClure was one of just four student-athletes on the list with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Majoring in kinesiology and health promotion, the sophomore was the recipient of the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal during the 2014-15 academic year while also being named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll as a freshman.

Outside of the classroom, the sophomore defensive specialist recorded 164 digs with an average of 1.61 per set in her second season as a Lady Techster. In 2015, McClure totaled double-digits in digs on four different occasions to help lead LA Tech to its best record since 2011.

In two seasons at LA Tech, the Baton Rouge native has registered more than 300 digs (1.84 per set) and seen action in 174 sets over 57 matches.
