POST-GAME NOTES

- With the 83-76 win, LA Tech improved to 9-2 on the season. It matches the best start to the regular season since 2009.

- LA Tech has now won 37 straight games at home, the second longest active streak in the country.

- LA Tech is now 56-1 at home since February of 2012. It is the highest home winning percentage in the nation during that time span.

- The Bulldogs now lead the all-time series over the Jaguars, 5-2, having won three straight meetings.

- The Bulldogs have won 10 straight games against SWAC opponents.

- LA Tech scored at least 80 points for the ninth time in 11 games this season.

- The Bulldogs shot 8-of-20 from three-point range for 40 percent, tying their season high.

- LA Tech outrebounded Southern, 39-35. It marked the first time in four games that the Bulldogs had a rebounding advantage.

- LA Tech starters -- Alex Hamilton, Dayon Griffin, Jacobi Boykins, Erik McCree and Branden Sheppard.

- Alex Hamilton made his 86th consecutive start.

- With 19 points, Alex Hamilton moved into 15th on the all-time career scoring list passing George Corley (1967-71). Hamilton now has 1,521 career points.

- With seven assists, Alex Hamilton moved into eighth on the all-time career assists list passing Emmerson Wafer (1978-82). Hamilton now has 360 career assists.

- With one steal, Alex Hamilton moved into a tie for fourth on the all-time career steals list with Alan Davis (1981-85). He now has 173 career steals.

- With eight made free throws, Alex Hamilton moved into a tie for second on the all-time career free throws made list with Mike McConathy (1973-77). Hamilton now has 465 made free throws in his career. He is six shy of setting the program record.

- Erik McCree led the team in scoring for the sixth time this season with 21 points. It marked the fifth time this season he has scored 20+ in a game.

- Erik McCree also added a team-high 10 rebounds, posting his third double-double of the season and the sixth of his career.

- Derric Jean posted a career-high 15 points. The true freshman has scored in double digits in five games this season.

- Branden Sheppard went a perfect 5-of-5 from the field, scoring 10 points.

- Merrill Holden played his first game of the season after sitting out the first 10 games due to a thumb injury. He registered 16 minutes of action with four points, four rebounds and two blocks.
