"I am proud of our team, to hand [FIU] their worst conference loss so far. They are a well-coached team and I thought they ran some good things. I am proud of our team for dominating the stat sheet in a lot of ways. They got 21 assists and I was proud of that. I was not proud of the turnovers, that was a negative. I was proud of our rebounding and the way we shot the ball. It was probably our best game in transition. We saw some improvement on things we had been preaching."
On Tiara Davenport not starting:
"What is it with this? You sit Brooke Pumroy and she comes back and is killing it against Southern Miss and our past few games. She has been doing well and shot it really well tonight, again. You sit Brandi Wingate and she goes to Old Dominion and dominates. You sit Tiara Davenport and then she comes in. What I really think it is, is that we do not have self-motivation across the board with our team. If you are self-motivated, it should not take something like that to motivate you. You should be able to get yourself ready every night to go in and dominate. On one hand I am proud of [Tiara] and on the other hand we have to have that every night. We have to be more consistent."
On Rochelle Vasquez:
"I was proud of [Rochelle]. I liked her pullup game. Her threes were good. There was one shot that she should not have shot, but besides that, the other five shots that she took were quality shots. Again, if you look at the percentage if you are shooting 50 percent, that means you are taking good shots. I thought we took good shots and got the ball in the right area, at the right time."
On Jasmine LeBlanc:
"You could see a little bit of frustration with her. You could see a little with [Reauna Cleaver], our two freshmen. I thought Kierra got a little relaxed in that fourth quarter. It was a good game for them to get some experience being up. Any time you are wearing a Lady Techster jersey, you cannot go out there and act like it is extra time. There is no such thing as extra time. If we are on that court, in between the black lines, we are out there trying to be the best that we can be. Again, proud of [Jasmine] for the rebounding. Ashley Santos had nine rebounds as well, so I was proud of that. We have to be more consistent, especially in that fourth quarter. I thought we got a little loose and lazy with the ball."
On post defense:
"I think coach DeMoss is going to have a heart attack before it is all set and done, with our post offense and defense. You saw improvement. They knew what they were supposed to be doing. We did not always do it, but at least they are trying to do things the right way down between the blocks. I thought we had some good passes and some really risky passes that sometimes got through. It is something for us to continue to improve on, because we are going to have some size advantages. We have to learn to take advantage."
On FAU:
"Something we did not do a good job of tonight is defend the dribble drive. We have to be able to take away the three and force them baseline and have our help side there. It is that simple. We are going to have our work cut out for us against a very good Florida Atlantic team. I am sure they want payback for last year when they were up 20 on us and we came back and won. We then beat them in the conference tournament. I am sure they remember that and will be very motivated to come in here and get a win."
