Recap | Final Stats | Notes

On the difference between halves:

"They got some momentum. They hit a three to start the second half. They came out with a lot of fire and changed their defense. They really denied Alex the ball all over the place. We did not get into a good rhythm in the second half. We got in foul trouble which forced different lineups. We had a hard time scoring in the half court really the whole game. Our defense led to some really good baskets. We were not getting those stops in the second half and had a hard time scoring."

On the final play:

"We expected them to really penetrate with a pick-and-roll because that is what they had been doing. We said anywhere [Jackson] Trapp goes you have to chase him. I thought it was well contested and he hit an incredible shot."

On what is to be learn from this game:

"I said in the locker room that nothing is ever won in the first half. We have been behind our fair share of times in the first half and been able to come back. You can never relax. Teams, especially at home, will fight."

On Merrill Holden:

"Merrill was great tonight. I am happy for him and his performance. I know he would much rather prefer a performance like that and come away with a win. He is getting better and better. He helped us a lot tonight and we are going to need him the rest of the year."
