MOBILE, Ala. - Louisiana Tech was not only well represented at the Reese's Senior Bowl in Mobile this week but the Bulldogs were also highlight-worthy. Jeff Driskel threw a Hail Mary touchdown pass, Vernon Butler registered a sack and forced a fumble and Kenneth Dixon put his moves on display in the premier collegiate all-star game Saturday afternoon at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.

The three players representing Louisiana Tech ties for the most LA Tech has sent in a single year to the Senior Bowl. Only Alabama, Baylor, Georgia, Ohio State and Stanford (4) had more players invited to the Senior Bowl this season than Louisiana Tech (3). All three played for the North Team.

Driskel was the only quarterback (out of four) to throw a touchdown pass for the North Team while Butler was the only player on the team to force a fumble. The defensive tackle was also recognized by National Football League draft analyst Mike Maycock for having made money over the course of the week with practices and drills in front of coaches and scouts from all 32 NFL teams.

Driskel finished the day 8-for-9 for 108 yards and his touchdown pass with three carries for 15 yards while Dixon, who started at running back for the North squad, ran the ball nine times for 27 yards. Butler registered two total tackles with his solo stop being a sack and tackle for a loss as well as a forced fumble against Alabama quarterback Jake Coker.

Louisiana Tech's players now look towards further training and awaiting potential invitations to the NFL Combine on Feb. 23-29 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
