Oct. 12, 2016 RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech will take a break from Conference USA play tonight when the Lady Techsters host I-20 foe, Grambling State at 7 p.m. in the Thomas Assembly Center.
LA Tech is coming off of a split weekend in conference play, defeating Middle Tennessee 3-1 on Friday and falling to UAB 3-1 on Sunday on the road in Birmingham.
Following tonight's match, Louisiana Tech will get right back into conference play, travelling to Hattiesburg, Miss. for a battle with Southern Miss on Friday night.
LA Tech has been led by junior Marta Monne over the past few weeks as she broke 200 kills for the season in the Lady Techsters last match against UAB. She is the second Louisiana Tech player to break 200 kills for the season as Angie Papach has registered 246 so far this season. Brooke Short is nearing the 700-assist mark as she will enter tonight's match with 682 assists.
Defensively, both Jacie McClure and Monne have registered over 200 digs, while Alexa Lister has registered .67 blocks per set.
