Oct. 4, 2016 RUSTON, La. - On Tuesday night the Lady Techsters will take a break from conference play, hosting I-20 foe UL-Monroe at 7 p.m. in the Thomas Assembly Center.
LA Tech is coming off of a stretch of three straight conference games against three of the top teams in Conference USA. The last time Louisiana Tech played an out of conference game was back on September 17, when the Lady Techsters finished second in the Tulsa Volleyball Invitational.
Alejandra Aviles enters the match just four digs shy of breaking the Louisiana Tech school record for digs in a career.
Angela Papach broke the 200-kill mark on Sunday and has now totaled 210 kills on the season. The senior is averaging over three kills a set. Brooke Short is nearing the 600-assist mark as she has 574 assists for the Lady Techsters this season.
UL-Monroe is led by Mikaela Worley who has registered 155 kills so far this season. Tara Jenkins has totaled 508 assists ont he season.
