IRVING, Texas - Louisiana Tech redshirt senior Jarvis Gotch was honored by Conference USA again as he was named the league's Field Co-Athlete of the Week following his performance at the Vanderbilt Invitational.

Gotch jumped a season-best mark of 25-10 (7.87m) as he extended his lead over C-USA competition this year with a strong performance at the Vanderbilt Invitational. With a jump that currently ranks ninth in the world this year, Gotch bested WKU's Ventavius Sears by over eight inches in the competition and is the only jumper in the league to surpass the 7.80m mark this season.

The Carencro, Louisiana native shared the Field Athlete of the Week honors with Sears, who won the triple jump at the Vanderbilt Invitational.

Louisiana Tech is off this weekend before heading to Birmingham, Alabama on Feb. 12-13 for the Samford Invitational.
