LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Louisiana Tech recorded the most improvement between Monday's two rounds of play at the Little Rock First Tee Classic at Chenal Country Club and will enter Tuesday's final round in 11th place, only 10 strokes back of a top-five finish.

A challenging opening round at 26-over-par (314) left the Bulldogs in last place with plenty of work to do but an impressive turnaround in the afternoon at 9-over-par pushed Tech up four spots to the No. 11 position by the end of the day, finishing 35-over-par.

Senior Ben Robinson led most of that comeback in the afternoon, improving on his score by seven strokes and finishing the day at 3-over-par and tied for eighth. The England native, playing in his first tournament for Tech since in the All-American Intercollegiate in February, enters Tuesday's action five strokes back of the individual leader, Hunter Richardson of UT-Martin (-2).

Louisiana Tech ended Monday's action just two strokes shy of Southern Miss and two strokes ahead of Xavier. Lipscomb, with three golfers in the top five, leads the team leaderboard at 13-over-par while Eastern Michigan (+25) is in fifth with only 10 strokes separating eight different teams.

Senior Victor Lange also recorded remarkable improvement between the rounds, carding his afternoon round at five strokes better than the morning. Currently ranked No. 188 in the country, Lange is only two strokes behind Robinson at 5-over-par.

Chuck Spears improved one stroke between rounds of play Monday and finished the day at 13-over-par while Jacob Wyatt followed at 14-over-par.

Hunter Glenn, competing as an individual, saw a two-stroke improvement between rounds in his play and finished the day at 12-over-par.

The final round of the Little Rock First Tee Classic begins at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start. Louisiana Tech will be paired with Southern Miss and Xavier in the final round of play.
