Louisiana Tech head coach Jeff Jenkins

"We were nine over through six holes today. Obviously that is not the start you want. But the guys hung in there and bounced back over the last 12 holes to only shoot two-over. That is what I have been trying to instill into these guys since I got here ââ'¬" to play to the finish line and hang in there. They did a great job today."

On starting nine-over through six and staying in second place:
"All the credit to those guys for hanging in there. I was walking with Jacob Wyatt today and he was five-over through four and finished at six-over. That is a testament to him having a good attitude and hanging in there. Credit goes to the rest of the guys as well. Preston Standley has been walking with a couple of guys as well. I think he helps those guys hanging in there as well. We've got to have that until the very end tomorrow. If we play to the finish line then it'll be reflected in the results."

On Chuck Spears:
"[Chuck Spears] had a 72 in this wind. The wind probably blew 10 to 15 [mph] today which was about twice as hard as yesterday. For him to post another even-par round for us is a game changer. That is the level of golf that I think we all expect from Chuck. He is showing us how much game he has. Hopefully he can keep that up for us."

On entering the final round:
"Tomorrow we just need to stick to the game plan. Patience is the mantra for us this week and I think the guys have done a great job to this point. We have to continue to stay patient with great routines and stick to the process and I think the results will take care of themselves."

On the feeling after Monday's round:
"The guys were not quite as excited as yesterday but I think they realize how difficult it was today. I think they are really proud of each other for hanging in there and fighting to the very end. If we can take that into tomorrow it will work out for us."

Senior Chuck Spears

"I am just trying to keep my momentum from today going into tomorrow. The way they had the course set up today, you just couldn't be very aggressive out there. You had to stay patient and play to the center of the green. I did that pretty well today and hopefully we can make a couple more birdies tomorrow."

On his even-par round Monday:
"It is solid. The low round today was 69 (3-under-par) so that puts me right up there with some of the best rounds of the day. I'm pretty happy about that but I think I can go a little bit deeper out here."

On entering final round in the hunt, individually and as a team:
"My biggest concern is just playing as well as I can so we can make match play this week. Whether I am in contention for the tournament or not, I just want to go put up a good score for the team so we can make it to match play."

On the feeling among the team after Monday's round:
"Yesterday's round was good for us because we proved to ourselves that we can play really good rounds out here in tough conditions. The way I look at it, we didn't have the best day that we could have had today and we are still tied for second. If we just have a solid day tomorrow, we will be fine."

On team being nine-over thru six holes then finishing the round at 11-over:
"We got off to a slow start today and we just need to do the best we can to get off to a more steady start tomorrow. We know we can just keep it going throughout the rest of the day. I think the low round for a team today was one-over and we played our last 12 at two-over. We know we can do it, we just have to go out there and do it."
