RUSTON -- Louisiana Tech administration and men's basketball coaching staff gathered together in the Thomas Assembly Center with Terry and Donna Ewing and Family on Saturday night pregame to have a dedication for the new L.C. (Lew) Ewing Players' Lounge.

Terry and Donna Ewing made the lead gift towards the renovations of the Bulldogs player lounge which has a name plate outside the door bearing L.C. (Lew) Ewing's name. The lounge, which is a converted office space, can also be accessed from the adjacent team locker room through an oversized glass entry way.

The lounge has new LED lighting, custom-made couches, wall-to-wall fabric graphics done by Advent (same company who produced the graphics in the Davision Athletics Complex), a 70-inch 4K wall-mounted television and a PS4.

"We love to help Louisiana Tech and this was a culmination of things we could do to help the team and these guys enjoy school, help them have a better experience while they are here," Terry Ewing said. "We want them to be good basketball players as well as have a well-rounded life while they are here.

"It means the world to us [seeing his name on the wall]. He was a wonderful man and loved Louisiana Tech next to nothing except God and country."

Some of the other contributions went towards updating the chairback theater-style seating in the film room as well as wall graphics depicting former Bulldog greats like Speedy Smith and Alex Hamilton as well as head coach Eric Konkol's three words for the program -- attitude, commitment and class.

"We are incredibly grateful for the support and friendship of the Ewing Family," Konkol said. "Terry and Donna's generosity has provided our program with an opportunity to grow with a first class players' lounge for our team. This is a wonderful space for our players to spend time together as well as an important way to highlight our program in recruiting."

The project began in the summer and was completed in September prior to the start of fall practice.
