Dunkin' Dog Signee to Compete in National High School Slam Dunk Contest

March 31, 2017

RUSTON – Louisiana Tech men's basketball signee Anthony Duruji was selected to participate in the American Family Insurance High School Slam Dunk competition.

The event will be taped at Greenway High School in Phoenix, Arizona, site of this year's NCAA Men's Final Four, on March 31 and will air on CBS on Sunday, April 2 at 2:30 p.m.

Duruji, a 6-foot, 7-inch forward out of St. Andrews Episcopal School in Potomac, Maryland, will be one of eight high school players to compete in the dunk contest.

The three-star prospect reached 1,000 career points in three seasons with the Lions and was a two-time All-Mid Atlantic Conference selection.

He signed to play at LA Tech in the early signing period in mid-November along with guards Exavian Christon (Hot Springs, Arkansas) and Amorie Archibald (Delton, Florida).
