LA Tech season stats 
HOUSTON ÃÆ'¢Ã¢'¬" The Louisiana Tech women's tennis team suffered a 4-0 loss to No. 43 Rice in the regular season finale on Saturday afternoon at the George R. Brown Tennis Center.
After a two-plus hour rain delay, LA Tech (9-11) was nearing a win at the No. 2 spot in doubles. However, Rice (13-7) was able to grab victories on courts one and three to take the point. The nationally-ranked Owls then picked up wins on courts one, three and five to take the match.
The duo of Angela Lorenzo and Nadja Manjon were up 5-3 on Priya Niezgoda and Fernanda Astete at the No. 2 position in dubs, but Rice got wins from 42nd-ranked Lindsey Hodge/Wendy Zhang on court one and Savannah Durkin/Michaela Haet on court three to grab the opening point in the match.
LA Tech was competitive on a number of singles courts in the first set, including Manjon who ended up falling 6-4, 6-0 to Hodge at the No. 1 spot.
Rice would get its other two points from Anna Bowtell on court four and Durkin on court five via straight sets.
Seeding and bracket for the C-USA Tournament will be announced on Monday, April 16. The first round will start on Thursday, April 19 in Norfolk, Virginia at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.
