LORMAN, Miss. – The Louisiana Tech soccer team was leading Alcorn State, 4-0, at halftime, but constant lightning in the area forced the game to be stopped on Friday night at Spinks-Casem Stadium.
Â
Despite LA Tech's advantage on the scoreboard, the result will not count since the match did not meet the minimum 70-minute requirement.Â
Â
Most of the scoring barrage came from sophomore
Amber Posthauer who notched three goals for the hat trick. The fourth goal was scored by senior
Mylene Roy-Ouellet.Â
Â
The Lady Techsters will now head into their final non-conference game of the season in a showdown with the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9 in Starkville, Miss.
