TULSA, Oklahoma – After suffering losses to No. 22 Tulsa and Wyoming, the Louisiana Tech women's tennis team finished out the Hurricane Invite strong with a 5-1 victory over Oral Roberts in the season-opening weekend of the spring season at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
LA Tech (1-2) fell 7-0 to the nationally-ranked host Tulsa (3-0) and to Wyoming (2-1) with the lone win coming from the doubles duo of Sonia Chen and Claudia Oravcova who won 6-3 on court two versus the Cowgirls.

Chen and Oravcova continued their winning ways on the doubles court with a convincing 6-1 win at the No. 2 spot over Flavia Balcazar and Jovana Antonijevic.  The combo of Andrea Perez-Lopez and Leonie Nutz matched that winning score of 6-1 at the No. 3 position over Andrea Vasiljevic and Valentina Gisbert.
