Â

It is 90's Night as fans will receive free fanny packs and will get to listen to throwback music as tickets can get purchased for $9 and hotdogs for $1 at concession stands.
The road woes continued this past Saturday for LA Tech (13-7, 3-4 C-USA) as they fell 55-40 to Charlotte, dropping its fourth straight conference game away from home this season. And it was the shooting woes that did the Bulldogs in, making only 28 percent of their shots with just one made three-pointer.
Â
The defense played more than good enough to give the 'Dogs a chance to win against the 49ers. For the fourth time during league action, LA Tech held its opponent to under 60 points.Â
Â
In conference games only, the team continues to sport the best scoring defense, allowing just 60.7 points per game. On the flipside, they are scoring only 62.3 points per game.Â
Â
The offensive production between home and away games is noticeable. At home, the Bulldogs are averaging 79.6 points per game while shooting 47 percent from the field and 34 percent from beyond the arc. On the road, LA Tech is averaging 68.9 points per game (11 points less) while shooting 43 percent from the field and 31 percent from deep.Â
Â
Needless to say, playing on Karl Malone Court has resulted in better production which has turned into being undefeated in the TAC. The Bulldogs are one of only two C-USA teams that are still perfect at home. They have won 42 of the 47 home league games since joining the league in 2013-14.  Â
Â
It will be a difficult task to continue this home winning streak with Marshall (12-7, 5-1 C-USA) coming to town. They enter Thursday tied atop the league standings and were the last unbeaten team in the conference before suffering a 68-59 loss at WKU this past Monday.
Â
Fifth-year head coach Dan D'Antoni led Marshall to the NCAA Tournament last season, making the trip for the first time since 1987 which snapped a 31-year drought. The Herd did so by winning the C-USA Tournament title in Frisco, Texas.
Â
The Herd is best known for their unique style of offense. They rank second in the league and 38th in the country in scoring offense at 80.7 points per game, having scored 90+ points five times. They have taken 519 three-pointers this season, making a league-best 9.2 triples per game.Â
Â
Defensively, Marshall allows a whopping 80.6 points per game, but they generate extra possessions on offense by creating steals. They rank in the top five in the entire country in steals per game (9.9).Â
Â
Marshall is led by its senior guard duo of Jon Elmore and C.J. Burks, both preseason All-Conference USA selections, who are averaging 20.1 and 17.6 points per game respectively.
Â
LA Tech and Marshall will be meeting for the ninth time with only two of those meetings coming prior to them becoming conference opponents. The Bulldogs won the first six meetings in the series, but the Herd have won the last two including last season's 78-65 win in Huntington, West Virginia.
