CINCINNATI – The Louisiana Tech golf team wrapped up action at the Bearcat Invitational on Tuesday afternoon, finishing the tournament in 10
th place.

The Bulldogs found themselves in good position among the overall team standings following day one's first 36 holes of competition, as the team posted a score of 9-over across day one, good for 7
th place among the 13 competing teams.

However, on the final day of competition, Tech struggled to find consistency across the board, shooting a combined +14 for the day to finish the tournament +23 overall in 10
th place.

"It just wasn't a very good day for us today," head coach
Matt Terry remarked. "We need to get off to better starts than we have here early on this season. We have a short time to clean up some things before leaving on Friday for Middle Tennessee."

On Tuesday's final round, newcomer
Mac Murphy paced the Bulldogs with even par. Murphy finished his 72 holes at +2 good for a tie for 19
th place among all competitors.

James Swash and
Hunter Battles both shot +4 on the final day for the Bulldogs. Swash finished the event in 29
th position at +4 overall.

Louisville came out victorious in the team standings, finishing a combined -37 as a team.

The Bulldogs will have a short time to bounce back and look ahead to their next challenge beginning next Sunday at Middle Tennessee at the Intercollegiate at the Grove.
