RUSTON – Louisiana Tech senior
DaQuan Bracey was one of 10 players selected to the 2019-20 Preseason All-Conference USA Team, announced by the league office on Thursday.
Â
The Baltimore, Maryland native led the Bulldogs last season in scoring with an average of 15.5 points per game. He recorded 26 double-digit scoring games, including nine 20+ scoring performances.
Â

Â
The guard enters his final season as one of only four Bulldogs in program history to eclipse 1,000 career points and 400 career assists, both of which he accomplished last year.Â
Â
Joining him on the Preseason Team were Devon Andrews (FIU), Jailyn Ingram (Florida Atlantic), Antonio Green (Middle Tennessee), Xavier Green (Old Dominion), Zack Bryant (UAB), Jhivvan Jackson (UTSA), Keaton Wallace (UTSA), Taveion Hollingsworth (WKU) and Charles Bassey (WKU).
Â
LA Tech was picked to finish third in the preseason poll behind WKU and UTSA. The rest of the poll behind the Bulldogs were UTEP and Old Dominion tied for the fourth, followed by UAB, North Texas, Middle Tennessee, Florida Atlantic, FIU, Marshall, Charlotte, Rice and Southern Miss.
Fans will get their first chance to see the 'Dogs in action when they host the LSU Tigers on Nov. 2 at 4 p.m. inside the Thomas Assembly Center on Karl Malone Court as part of the Hoops 4 Disaster Relief exhibition game.Â
Â
The regular season then gets underway on Nov. 6 at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
