RUSTON – After enjoying a win in its home opener, the Louisiana Tech men's basketball team heads back out on the road travelling to the state of Nebraska to take on Creighton on Saturday at 5 p.m. inside CHI Health Center Omaha.

The matchup will be broadcast on FS2 as well as on the Fox Sports app with Chris Vosters and Nick Bahe on the call. Fans can also listen to Lane Grindle call the action through the LA Tech Sports Network on KXKZ 107.5 FM (Ruston) and KOKA 93.3 FM/980 AM (Shreveport) as well as on the LA Tech Athletics app.

LA Tech (2-0) is coming off another lopsided victory, running away with a 98-52 victory over Wiley College this past Tuesday for the team's 13th straight win in a home opener.Â

Five Bulldogs scored in double figures, including
Kalob Ledoux who led the way with 18,
JaColby Pemberton with 17 and
DaQuan Bracey with 11. Each of them scored in double-digits in the season opener at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi as well.

Defensively, the 'Dogs forced 31 turnovers which set a new program record. They also tallied 16 steals and nine blocks. It was the most blocks since 2017 and the most steals since 2015.

LA Tech has won by scoring margins of 46 and 33 through the first two games of the season, marking the first time since 2013 that the Bulldogs have won back-to-back games by 30+ points.

Ledoux is averaging 15.5 points per game, including a team-best seven made three-pointers. Pemberton is averaging 14.0 points, followed by Bracey who is averaging 12.5 points and six assists per contest.

Creighton (1-1) won its season opener easily, downing Kennesaw State 81-55, but the Bluejays suffered a 79-69 loss this past Tuesday at Michigan in the Gavitt Tipoff Games.

Three Bluejays are averaging double-figure scoring through two contests, led by preseason First Team All-Big East selection Ty-Shon Alexander who is averaging 19.5 points while shooting 46 percent from the field and 50 percent from three.

Creighton, picked seventh in the Big East preseason poll, returns nine lettermen and four starters from last year's team that finished 20-15 and tied for third in the Big East. The Bluejays advanced to the quarterfinals of the NIT with victories over Loyola (Chicago) and Memphis before falling to TCU.

Saturday will mark just the second meeting ever between LA Tech and Creighton. The Bluejays came out on top in that game (Dec. 26, 1990), winning 87-84 in Omaha.Â

LA Tech is 2-8 all-time against current Big East teams. The only wins have come against Providence (1986) and DePaul (1996). The last time the Bulldogs faced a Big East school was Villanova in the 2002 NIT.
