NASSAU, Bahamas (Nov. 3, 2019) – The Louisiana Tech golf team wrapped up action in the White Sands Intercollegaite on Sunday afternoon, finishing the three-day weekend tournament in 14th place at +11.

Tech concluded the weekend with its best team round of the event, combining to shoot a one-under par.Â
Mac Murphy led the charge on Sunday, carding a team-best six-under, bogie-free final round. Murphy finished the weekend at one-under par - good for 48th place overall.Â
James Swash led the Bulldogs in the individual standings, as his even par score over the 54-hole event was 40th best among the stacked field.

The Bulldogs rallied back from a tough day one where they shot a combined 12-over par (300) to shoot 12 strokes better on day two of action.

Swash led the charge on Saturday for the Bulldogs, carding a team-low three-under 69. On his final hole of the day, Swash drained a 35-foot eagle putt on the par-5 13
th hole to finish the day with Tech's best round through the first two days.

Two other Bulldogs recorded eagles on the day in
Lake Juban (+1 for the day) and
Mac Murphy (E for the day).

The Bulldogs posted 21 holes under par after just 15 on day one. Tech is just four strokes behind Georgia State for 13
th overall.

Tech will take a break before beginning its spring schedule at the All-American Collegiate, hosted by the University of Houston on February 16-18.
