RUSTON - With anticipation growing for the nearing 2020 Louisiana Tech baseball season, the program will hold its annual "First Pitch Dinner" on Friday, January 31, at 6:30 p.m. in the club level of the Davison Athletics Complex.
Tables for eight are available for purchase for a cost of $500. Single tickets are also available for purchase at $50 per ticket. The dinner will be limited to 350 guests. Corporate sponsors (those that purchase a table) will also receive a gift.
Tech fourth-year head coach
Lane Burroughs is scheduled to speak, as he will give Bulldog fans a glimpse of what to expect when Louisiana Tech opens its season. Burroughs has led Tech to 109 wins in his first three years in Ruston. Last year, the Bulldogs finished with 34 wins and earned the third seed to the Conference-USA Tournament.
Fans will also have an opportunity to interact with Burroughs and the rest of the 2019 coaching staff and players before and after the dinner.
A "Where Are They Now?" segment will catch up with a former Diamond 'Dog and their movements since departing from the program.
Current Bulldog players will take the reigns on producing and performing in a Player Awards Show, bringing comedic gold to the evening's festivities.
Throughout the night a silent auction will also be held with items to bid on scheduled to be announced at a later time.
Fans interested in purchasing tickets to the event should RSVP with Louisiana Tech assistant coach
Matt Miller, who can be reached by phone at (630) 632-3870 or by email mmi024@latech.edu.
