HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Louisiana Tech Golf team will travel to Hattiesburg, Mississippi, this Monday as the Bulldogs are scheduled to compete against three other schools in the 2019 Jerry Weeks Match Play event on April 1.

The Jerry Weeks Match Play event is hosted by Southern Miss and is set to tee off at 8 a.m. on Monday morning. Louisiana Tech makes up a four-team field that also features UL-Lafayette, South Alabama and the Golden Eagles. Monday's match play will be held at the par 72, 6,902-yard course at the Hattiesburg Country Club.

The Bulldogs will compete against fellow Conference USA team Southern Miss in the semifinals, while South Alabama will face off against UL-Lafayette. The two winners will battle each other in the championship match at 1:05 p.m., while the remaining teams will play a consolation match at 12:30 p.m. on Monday.

The match play event will consist of five head-to-head matches in a best-of-five competition to determine a winner.

The Southern Miss-Louisiana Tech match will tee off of Hole No. 1, while UL-Lafayette and South Alabama starts off No. 10. The consolation and championship rounds will each start on No. 1.
