RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech Track & Field weathered the storm on Saturday afternoon to wrap up a successful weekend for the Bulldogs and Lady Techsters at the Jim Mize Invitational in Ruston.

During the two-day home event, Louisiana Tech's men and women recorded 37 marks that ranked in the top three, including 11 first place finishes by the Bulldogs and Lady Techsters combined.

In addition to Louisiana Tech's William Harrell winning the men's 1,500m on Friday night, Annabelle Yates also took home first place in the javelin, while Malek Evans won the men's hammer.

On Saturday, LA Tech continued to have success with first-place marks by Soro Abrama (Men's LJ), Caleb Clark (Men's TJ) and Jznae Kim (Women's LJ and TJ) in the jumping events. Tim Fitzgerald also claimed first place in the men's shot put, while the running events saw first-place finishes by Austin Ballow (Men's 1,500m), LA Tech's men's 4x100m relay team (Young, Beaver, Boullion, Abrama) and LA Tech's women's 4x400m relay team (Collins, Shaw, Edwards, Watson).
