Baseball Moves WKU Series to ULM

RUSTON, La. – Following up on a devastating storm that ripped through J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park last week, the Louisiana Tech baseball team's final home series of the year vs. WKU on May 10-12 has been moved to Warhawk Field on the campus of ULM.

Admission to all three contests will be free of charge, and donations for the Tech and Ruston disaster relief fund will be accepted throughout the weekend.

The Bulldogs and Hilltoppers will play Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.

"We are so appreciative and thankful to ULM's administration and coaching staff for offering their assistance," head coach Lane Burroughs remarked. "We had so many schools reach out to us, and the support was overwhelming. This has been a difficult time for our program, but we are optimistic for what the future holds both for our program and the Ruston and Tech community."

In order to provide an avenue for people and businesses to help financially, the Louisiana Tech Foundation has set up an online platform that will allow monetary donations beginning immediately.

The University saw almost complete devastation of its softball, soccer, tennis and baseball facilities while damage occurred to other complexes such as track and field.

Anyone wishing to donate to the rebuild of the Tech Athletics Complex can do so by logging onto: ltu.al/rebuildathletics.

All three games will be broadcast on KNBB 97.7 FM. Stay plugged into LATechSports.com and follow @LATechBSB on Twitter for all breaking news, in-game updates and other items of interest pertaining to the 2019 Diamond 'Dogs.
