COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. – Louisiana Tech golf wrapped up action at the Middle Tennessee-hosted Intercollegiate at The Grove on Tuesday, finishing the tournament tied for sixth among a field of 13 teams with a combined team score of +9 (289-296=585).
"I'm disappointed in how our team performed today," head coach
Matt Terry said. "We are better than we showed this week, but you have to shoot the scores to prove it. I'm looking forward to seeing how we respond this upcoming week at Little Rock."

Sam Murphy led LA Tech after tying for 17th individually with a combined +1 (73-72=145). Murphy accounted for five of LA Tech's 12 birdies during the final round of the tournament to end Tuesday's round at an even par of 72. Senior
Mac Murphy also finished the tournament in the top-25 with a combined +3 (74-73=147, T-23rd).

Blake Blaser (74-74=148, T-29th), sophomore
Hunter Battles (71-77=148, T-29th), sophomore
Lake Juban (71-80=151, T-50th) and junior
James Swash (78-80=158, T-77th) rounded out the LA Tech scoring at the event.

ULM and Middle Tennessee tied for first with a combined -3 (573). App State -1 (575), Coastal Carolina +1 (577) and Southern Mississippi +2 (578) rounded out the top five.

LA Tech will wrap up its fall schedule next week as the Bulldogs head to the Little Rock Invitational in Little Rock, Ark., on Monday, Oct. 19, and Tuesday, Oct. 20.
