LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Louisiana Tech golf finished play at the Little Rock Invitational on Tuesday as the Bulldogs placed 10th among a field of 14 teams with a combined score of +2 (866) to wrap up LA Tech's fall schedule.
"We made too many mistakes on par 5s during the first and final round," head coach
Matt Terry said. "We have a lot to work on in the offseason to become the team we want to be. They definitely have the talent, but only time and work will tell."
Senior
Sam Murphy finished in the top-20 individually to lead the Bulldogs with a combined -1 (75-65-75=215, T-18th).
Sophomore
Lake Juban ended the final round with a pair of birdies on holes eight and nine to lead LA Tech with a combined -1 (71). Juban (75-71-71=217) finished the invitational tied for 28th individually along with senior
Mac Murphy (71-72-74=217).
Junior
James Swash (77-69-74=220, T-39th), sophomore
Hunter Battles (75-73-75=223, T-48th) and junior
Blake Blaser (84-77-74=235, T-79th) rounded out the LA Tech scoring at the event.
Little Rock won its own invitational with a combined team score of -35 (829). Arkansas State -18 (846), UT Arlington -16 (848), ULM -15 (849) and Louisiana-Lafayette -12 (852) rounded out the top five.
