RUSTON – The Louisiana Tech Soccer team makes its third and final fall appearance on the pitch Saturday afternoon when they play at Texas A&M-Commerce at 3 p.m. at Lion Soccer Field.
Â
After losing the season opener, LA Tech (1-1) rebounded with a 2-1 overtime victory at Abilene Christian three weeks ago.Â
Â
The Lady Techsters fell behind early in the second half, but senior
Klesha Darroux equalized on a header goal just a few minutes later. Then just two minutes deep into the first overtime period, freshman
Tomoyo Kuroyanagi netted the golden goal off a free kick.
Â
Kuroyanagi became the fifth freshman in program history to record a game-winning goal in OT. The team improved to 10-1-11 in their last 22 overtime matches (dating back to 2016).
Â
Sophomore
Maggie Boston made her first career appearance in net and was stellar, recording six saves in the victory.Â
Â
Saturday will be the first match played for Texas A&M-Commerce. The Lions, who participate in the Lone Star Conference, will play the majority of their season in the spring.
Â
The Lady Techsters and Lions will be meeting for the very first time. Â

There will be no live stream for the match, but a link to live stats is available at LATechSports.com. Twitter users can follow @LATechSOC for live in-game updates.
